This is a beautiful and more uncommon variety that requires high humidity.

 

Light: Bright Filtered or Indirect Light 
Prefers moderate to bright, indirect light; avoid direct sunlight. Direct sun will burn foliage.

Water: High
Likes to stay consistently moist in bright light. Do no ever let the plant's soil dry out. Water roughly once a week or more depending on light and environment. This variety can be more sensitive to chemicals and metals in tap water; distilled or filtered water can help reduce browning.

Humidity: High
Should be grown in high humidity near a humidifier or a humid bright bathroom.

Soil: Moisture-retaining potting soil mix
50 percent potting soil, 20 percent orchid bark, 20 percent charcoal, and 10 percent vermiculite/perlite

Toxicity Level: Not toxic to animals.

Additional Information: Brown spotting and crispy leaves are a sign of chemical burn from tap water. Not tolerant to cold temperatures. May go dormant during winter; cut back watering during winter.
